FINISHED DOGS

This group of dogs are gun-broke and ready to hunt.  They have been shot over since weaning age, carefully taught to come when called, and most are retrieving shot birds.  Their range is described.  These dogs have had another summer training in North Dakota.  They have been exposed to loads of wild pheasant and prairie chicken.  They were extensively hunted in West Texas on wild quail.  These dogs point, back (honor) and retrieve, and several are steady to wing and shot         

COWBOY
(Whelped in 2008)

His breeding is the same as Rex (above) as he is a full brother from an earlier breeding.  This 3 year old is a fine example of what wild birds can do for a bird dog.

He was broke on wild Quail in West Texas and does it all - point, back & retrieve.

Cowboy will handle like a glove, either afoot or in front of a Kawasaki Mule.  His range is 100-150 yards.

He is a brag-dog, just coming into his own - with all his hunting days before him.

BULL

6 years old out of Honky Tonk Attitude bloodlines.  He's a 'close-to-medium' range dog (50 - 100 Yds) that handles and hunts for anyone.  He's a great bird-finder with lots of experience on Quail and Pheasants. 

He loves to retrieve, and with his style and class, he's easy on the eyes as well as a real 'people' dog.

BIG GABE

Gabe is a 5 year old Pointer male by Rock Acre Skyview  ex Mesquite (Dam).  He's a fully broke, orange & white covey dog.  Formerly in the string of a west Texas quail guide, where he was his best bird finder.  Gabe is the dog for the man who demands a top bird finder.

DINK

3 year old out of Blackhawk and Chief Honcho bloodlines.  She's a good looking Honey that will warm the cockles of a bird hunter's heart. 

She does it all to perfection:  Steady to wing and shot - Experienced on Quail and Pheasants and loves to retrieve.  She will rear up and deliver a bird to hand or game bag.

Her small size (32 lbs) is an advantage at times and she can hustle and hunt with the best of them.

Tank is a robust, healthy youngster with good hunting instincts. He is a lover who never met a stranger. Tank has a great nose and loves birds. Add to that, his style and class, and you have a top prospect for a hunting dog.

He is starting to point staunchly and he's showing great desire to find and point birds.  Currently being taught, "heel", "whoa" and "come here", and is responding nicely.  His range is as wide as the country -  and he hunts to the gun in big country.

Update:  Tank has just returned from a Pheasant-rich, North Dakota dog training trip.  He excelled in finding and nailing these wild birds.  He's at the stage in training where he'll let you flush his birds... but, he is being offered as a 'Started Dog'.

Sally 2
(Two Acre Sally)

3 year old, lightly- marked, white & orange female.  She carries great genes from championship bloodlines (Nat'l Ch Fun- Seeker's Rebel - Ch Miller's Dateline - Ch Front N' Center).  Her range is medium (100-150 yards).  She'll run afoot or before an ATV equally well.  A stylist moving and on point, she's a bird hunter's dream.  Offered to the man who demands class in his  hunting dogs.

North Dakota Update: Sally is leading the string with Pheasants pointed - she finds the most birds.  She's real solid on point and will stop  to flush on the wild flushers.  Her retrieving is complete, also.  Sally now qualifies as a "Brag Dog".

Sammy
3 Years old

Sammy is the next 'Top Dog' in our string.  She's just a 'tick' behind Sally 2 and is coming on strong.  She loves to  point game and is stopping to flush (steady to wing) very well.  Her force breaking is complete. She's a great retriever.  Her range is close to medium (50-100 yards).  Her natural qualities recommend her for foot or ATV hunting.

2-1/2 year old, liver & white male by Dunn's Fearless Tank (sire) ex Miss Elhew Shiner (dam).  He combines big ranging covey dogs with Elhew breeding to produce the ideal range for ATV work in South Texas.  He already has broad experience in the quail fields and is the most advanced of our started dogs.

English Setters
 

BILL

5 year old brother to Toby (above). He's a natural, close to medium range, wild Quail dog. His strong point is birdfinding and exact location with few false points.  He's practically all white with orange markings on head and ears.

DUDE

A registered 5 year old German Shorthair Pointer, he is an outstanding covey finder and has plenty of range in front of an ATV or afoot.  His  usual range is medium-wide (100-150 yards).  So, compared to many Shorthairs, he runs  plenty big.  Add to this his ability to find coveys and singles, and his backing on sight.  His retrieving is first-class, often showing up with a dead bird  that  nobody realized they hit.  He's a top dog for any string.
